What’s the book on this kid? Defensively he scares the hell out of me, but I like his presence and approach at the plate - doesn’t get cheated and has definitely has a clue up there.

Big time power high strikeout guy and not much of a glove.  He put up back to back 30 homer seasons for the A's in AAA.

Another DH-type.  Just what we need.  Wouldn't be a problem if Trumbo and Davis weren't on the team and you could play Mancini at 1B and see if Nunez could stick as the DH.

I like him too but yeah he isn't good defensively.  

If anything he, Mancini, and Valencia prove you can find a RH DH without spending 13 million/yr

He's the exact type of player the O's should be moving on from. Limited ceiling at the plate and bad defensively. A player like Adeiny Hechavarría would be a good replacement for him since he just got DFAd.

I would like to see him get a long look, and I think that will happen. Then work his tail off in the off-season on his defense. Got a sneaking suspicion that he may end up being a very valuable pick up

It happens. But with Nunez and his history, it will happen more, at a higher rate. 

He is the 3rd base defensive equivalent of Tim Beckham at short.
