Along with his 0.53 ERA, Houck had an 0.882 WHIP over 17 Innings Pitched in the 2020 season. He was originally drafted in the 12th Round out of high school ...... he opted for 3 years of college instead, and wound up being a 1st Round draft pick for the Red Sox in 2017, which netted him a $2.614 Million signing bonus.

Somewhat similar to Houck, Matt Harvey was originally drafted in the 3rd Round out of high school in 2007 ...... like Houck, he opted for 3 years of college instead and wound up being a 1st Round draft pick for the Mets in 2010, which netted him a $2.5 Million signing bonus. Harvey's original offer out of high school when he was 18 years-old in 2007 was $1 Million.

I can't imagine Hyde has often had the pleasure of turning in the same lineup 2 days in a row.    These nine could be the '75 Reds for as long as it lasts.

No full strength day game after a night games until next Sunday, if Hyde wants to give Sisco ye olde Jake Fox treatment.

I assume we see Sisco tomorrow against Richards (RHP) as Montgomery (LHP) is the probable for the MFY on Monday

Not much variation in the lineup this series.   Sisco for Severino and Hays moved down.   I guess why mess with what’s working.

When you have only 12 position players and your bench is 2 utility guys and a backup C, and you face 3 straight righties, there isn't much flexibility.

I expect Valaika or Urias will start at 2nd tomorrow night vs the lefty in NY.

.I look forward to Stewart being back and Mullins hopefully being a part timer (at best)

Mullins has probably bought himself a couple of weeks worth of starts with his sizzling weekend in Boston, even if Hays stays off the IL and Stewart is ready to return.

Yep..he doesn’t seem to be hitting the ball that hard but it’s finding gaps.  It was good to see doubles today and not just IF hits and soft liners.
