It depends on the situation.   A person would have to be incredibly talented to make the jump from DSL to the Majors.  I'm not saying it couldn't be done but what about the O's presence in the DR makes you think they have that level of talent announcing games?

I’m pretty sure his politics align with the Os, at least based off of the AS game stuff, so I would tend to think it’s not politically motivated.

It would be incredibly surprising if they fired him based on his political views. If it was based on tweets he’d have had to post some Josh Hader level tweets to get fired which assuming he isn’t a complete idiot he would probably keep that type of stuff to himself.

After the fire sale of on air talent this year, why did this guy get canned after he got to work for opening day? Did they discover an unsavory tweet moments before the game started?

Honestly I’m not too concerned with PA announcers but the trend of everyone that works in the media getting canned deserves an explanation.

My supposition is he did something the team found unacceptable very recently.   I’m sure they didn’t like the timing at all.

Personally I find it more constructive and rewarding to riff on the idea of a developmental system and service time manipulation for announcers than I do wildly speculating about what the guy who says names out loud could have possibly done to get himself escorted out of the gates.

His political posts show him to be democrat/liberal.
 

I saw a recent post that was bashing the voting law in Ga.  Hard to believe that got him fired as it was in line with the organizations statement.

So yea, I tend to believe it wasn’t that as well unless the Os just don’t want employees talking politics at all, which is possible (and smart).

I guess it’s just possible that they are just soulless bastards and just fired him in a really awful way..I wouldn’t put it past this family but I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that it’s more than that.
