Game notes

Yarbrough is on 7 days rest after pitching the Rays' first complete game in over 5 years last week.  The last time they had a complete game before last week, Barack Obama was President, the Orioles were playoff-bound, and the Rams had just taken Jared Goff with the first pick of the NFL draft a couple days earlier.

The Rays have the second best record in baseball (just percentage points behind the Giants) and second best in the American League.  However they are only 16-14 at home (and 23-10 on the road).

Ryan Mountcastle has an RBI in 8 consecutive games.  Doug DeCinces has the Oriole record with, I believe, 12 games.   But that covered the end of one season and the beginning of another.   Reggie Jackson has the in-season Oriole record, with 10.

The Orioles' next schedule day off is in July.

Is it a money-saving thing?  Or a Covid thing?

I read an article last week that every single local TV broadcast team was still broadcasting remotely, as they did last year.  A handful of radio teams have started going on the road again
