Are they going to include dumping Homer's contract as a part of this trade. Sounds like the Orioles paying for Homer's contract to pickup CJ Abrams is out not that it really had a chance of happening.

Jayce Tingler was a senior at Missouri for 2003, then Scherzer a freshman in 2004.   Never quite teammates, but Tingler may have been BMOC on a recruitment visit.

Does Scherzer deal (if it happens) make Means more attractive?  Imagine Berrios is next, LA & SF gotta keep up with the Jones’.

If I'm a GM I'm not trading enough for Means to make it a deal the O's should make.

Berrios and Jon Gray become the next names. Mets linked to Zach Davies and bullpen arms.

Same. On the IL almost every year. Declining strikeouts and command post "substance" enforcement. Still an attractive player for sure but he'll be too expensive in a trade and there are some flags.

With Berrios it’s just a matter of the Twins choosing the best offer. He’s scratched from his start tomorrow.
