Furcal's agent has said his client will return to the US on Monday to sign a contract. The A's have offered 4/48 which reaches over 50 with incentives. The Mets have a similar offer on the table and Furcal will make his decision over the weekend.

That A's offer doesn't smell like Beane, especially with Furcal's injury history and all. IMO, the Mets would be more inclined to throw stupid money around like that.

Seems a bit crazy. Why would the Mets want Furcal? Move his arm to 2b or Reyes?
