I have no problem with Boston paying a 32 y/o 1B 30M+ for the next 6 years. It’s not like we’re contending this year or next.

Nobody suggested we couldn’t afford the 2022 version of Greinke.   There’s been lots of debate over whether he’d be a worthwhile signing.    I’ll be interested to see what he’s paid and how he does.
