Bowie is up 18-1. Cowser raking. If we don’t ever trade for players, how are we going to have room for all these folks? It would be nice to see some of these prospects moved for starting pitching.

Cowser 4-5 with a walk today, OPS up to 1.122 at AA. Is tearing up thirty games at Bowie enough of a test to move him up to Norfolk? Maybe replace Stowers getting promoted to Baltimore?

Cowser is ready.  He has adjusted.  Really dropped his K% in AA, plus some doubles travelled for HRs.

Did he move closer to the plate? His HBP count skyrocketed.

30 games is a very small size. Norfolk will be his third team of the year. I know this might come as a shock to some around here, but some teams even leave prospects at one level for a whole year. Maybe at least wait two months

Some teams even have prospects skip a level.

I think Cowser may get a taste of AAA before the year ends.  But only a taste.

30 games isn’t a small sample size if you aren’t being challenged.  Right now, he’s not and this was a guy who was an advanced college bat and should be in Baltimore next year.

It actually wouldn’t even be surprising if he made the team out of ST or was on the team by mid May.  It’s what should happen if he’s that good and that advanced, which he appears to be btw.

The rule should be that you get promoted once you've proven that you can dominate at your current level.  I think there's is plenty of evidence that Cowser is dominating AA.  It's time to move him up.  Stowers is the only priority play in the current Norfolk outfield--there's room for Cowser.

The rule should be that you get promoted once it's better for your development as a player to be playing at a higher level.
