2022 Ongoing Lineup Thread

Why the heck is Odor starting today and Stowers sitting on the bench?  Odor shouldn't get a single start between now and the end of the season.  Stupid.  Vavra should be starting in the infield and Stowers in the outfield instead of Vavra playing OF.

Opps, I obviously misread it.  I saw Odor at 2nd and Vavra in the outfield and jumped to conclusions.  My bad.

Ok, I screwed up on Stowers not being in the lineup.  Still doesn't change that fact that Odor should start another game for us really.  Urias should be playing instead so we can have as much data as possible on who we move forward with next year.  Odor is out of that equation thankfully, Urias is not.

Honestly don't mind the Odor v Verlander matchup compared to Hays v Verlander if we're going to play Odor a time or two per week.

The best chance to beat Verlander might be with the HR. Hays has no power recently and maybe Odor can lucky guess his way to a flag court shot.

That’s fair.  But as long as the other guys are in, I don’t care as much.

You know what Urias is.  Besides, the Orioles are playing a lot of games in a row.  It’s inevitable that rest is going to happen.

I think if you want to nitpick on things, it’s that Westburg should be up here.

Doesn't make any difference to me if Odor or Hays is in the lineup. Just want to see Stowers and Vavra every day.

This! Plus Odor in the lineup, gives something to complain about.😀 Against Verlander, not sure it makes a bit of difference. I believe Odor does have several home runs against him though.

Yep, I want to see Westburg more than Grayson. Because the most Grayson is going to get is maybe 2-3 starts which is fine. I'd rather see him go to the Arizona League but I don't think he's on the roster.

Good to see Vavra and Stowers in there.   Vavra can still be an integral part of next year’s team.

Vavra has great pitch recognition skills.  I think he needs to bulk up over the offseason to add some power, so that he can make opposing pitchers pay for throwing him too many strikes.

Odor is 6 for 39 (.154) career against Verlander, but two of those hits are homers.

Will a game-winning two run single suffice?
