Bullpen: 4.2 IP, 0 hits, 8 BB, 1 R

Wouldn't mind if tonight's game was rained out honestly. Bullpen needs a break, Adley needs a break, get a free day for the Hays recovery, etc. Avoid the cold night for G-Rod.

And then they get less of a break later on in the season, when they can probably use it even more.  What would the make-up day be for missed game?

True but maybe the team is in a much better position at that time, rest/injury-wise. Or maybe the pitching matchup is much more favorable in the make up game. Impossible to know. But fair point.

That's kind of an ugly beautiful contrast, and a nice mini-picture of why in 2020's baseball you might want Kyle Gibson to throw 15% of your regular season innings, and 0% of your tournament innings all at once.

Baseball has taken some steps, but not restrictor plate far enough if they care about professionals like Kyle Gibson having the opportunity to continue their craft in October.     A bunch of 3-game series are fine, but wildcard weekend maybe should get cut down to 20 player rosters.    Make Bryan Baker or Kyle Gibson a real choice for a 72-hour window.

Matt Manning suffered a pinky toe fracture on a beeline a couple weeks ago.    Noted medical experts that players are, he spoke of wanting to make his next turn.

Tigers moved him to the 60-day DL as part of the roster moves before the game.
