It's not just that.   It's that once it's tied in the 9th at home it's impossible to ever have a lead to protect.

Not blaming O’Hearn but with a RH Mountcastle there has better chance to come up with throw.

It's especially bad by Gunnar because Cano induces so many ground balls that just eating the ball and letting the guy reach turns the subsequent groundballs from advancing and scoring the runner to inducing a double play.
