Bowden’s bold prediction

Bowden is talking about season tickets, and unless I'm wrong nobody outside the organization has access to those numbers. So while I am virtually certain Bowden is wrong about predicting the sale of a record number of season tickets during the Angelos Reign of Error (1994 to the present), I can't prove that because, as far as I know, I don't have the data.

Gunnar I'd love to see.  Adley...I'm just not sure I want to sign a catcher long term.  I mean, if we could just buy out his late 20's and maybe VERY early 30s at a good price, I'd really consider it.  But don't think we want to have him under an expensive contract for much beyond year 32 or so.

At this point, I'm not complaining about the O's signing any players to extensions.  Notice there has been a lot of talk about the O's needing to sign players to extensions, the length and cost of extensions, JA complaining about effect of potential extensions on O's ability to turn profit, and 0 extensions signed.

Henderson and Holliday would be on my list before Adley.

At this point, if the O's extended say Westburg or Kremer I would be happy.  Not because I particularly like extensions for those players but just as proof they are willing to lock up some or any players for the future.  If there are no efforts to sign O's players to extensions this offseason, I guess the O's are following the A's model and not the Rays because the Rays have signed quite a few players to extensions.

Hilarious to think that we would pay the free agent-level money required to keep Boras client Gunnar here long-term. In order for Boras to sign off, Henderson would either have to strong arm his agent (and if you're ordering your agent around, why did you hire Scott Boras), or the Orioles would have to pony up money equal to what Gunnar would command as a young free agent.

Neither is happening. We have Gunnar for as long as he's under control, and no longer. Adley may be a different story.

The Orioles used to announce their season ticket sales ,till I think around 2000 or so.

Orioles cap season plans for first time Set '93 ticket limit of 27,500, alter discounts, exchanges
