This team will never win crap.  They are going to be the Ravens of Baseball.  Just picking the right moment to epic suck.

Ravens did win 2 Super Bowls.  So if that's Epic Sucking, I hope the O's Epic Suck and win 2 World Series.

No, you would just post a link to some dumb song like boomers on facebook. But, definitely not joking

I'll take your word for it, I don't use Facebook.

Evidently you are a fan, which I guess isn't surprising.

All this crying about the offensive, it will get going... the real issue here is the streak is in jeopardy right now.

I am sick of hearing about it. While I want them to win 2nd game today obviously part of me hopes they don't.

Hyde is not really the manager.  Its is some computer and he just does what it says.  The computer says it is better to use eight relief pitchers a game for one inning each than have one be a man and pitch the rest of the game.

A computer says that Mullins, Hays and Santander are better than letting a former first round pick actually have a real chance to break into the Majors.  The computer says screw that kid.  I want to lose with people that wont be here after this season anyway.  So keep trotting Santander out there.  What do we care if Santander gets at bats?  He is gone after this year.  Why do we care if he breaks out of his slump.  Let the guy ride the pine like the rest of them.  Its not like Santander is some beloved player.   He is just going to be  foot note after he leaves.

They’ve been great against teams that are good then struggle against teams they should be beating up on. They’re 13-11 against teams under .500. Last year they were 50-22. Out of the top 5 teams in the MLB this year, that’s by far the worst record. LAD is next at 27-15 and then CLE at 18-10. Most contending teams seem to typically be higher than a .667 win % against teams under .500. Let’s hope they turn it around.

This thread is about to close, but can somebody please tell me why hide made the pitching choices that he made? They are literally, and I’m not being rhetorical here I mean, literally, indefensible. There was no excuse for him to do what he did. It was objectively wrong.
I just wanna know what his objectively wrong reasoning was

He's a bad manager, that's why. A bad manager's bad moves never make sense. Most people don't realize Hyde isn't a good manager because this is a talented team that wins despite all of his incorrect moves, or they just don't want to accept that a winning team can have a terrible manager.

I’m gonna try to spell this out for you so you can understand and you can go about your day. I am talking about losing a pitcher, Instead of sending down another reliever named Akin for 10 days. This has nothing to do with the offense. I am well aware of how much the offense sucks right now and has been struggling for sometime.  Thanks for stopping by.

You can make that argument, but Baumann can be extremely frustrating.  How many times have we hand a sizable lead and he comes in and walks the first guy or two?  He's an underachiever and they must of felt even with his good pitching lately, they had had enough of him.  And there's no guarantee he would have put of a 0.

    • IMO 100% - I get the SP need and want but a shut-down pen (with a long man) is imperative
    • Good idea.  Hopefully, he performs well enough in the FCL for them to consider it.
    • I dont think Trouts the answer even if he wanted to come here. Too much $$$ probably. Elias would probably accept a 100 OPS+ CF if his range was good. Im not sure how many CF's fall under that category that are available. And Roberts only signed through next year, so it doesn't make sense to give up a valuable prospect for him.  Sigs going to have to dig deep to churn up something. Isnt Johnson in AAA having a great year? I dont know anything about him defensively.
    • Nice to see him getting live action. Ashamed he missed so much of the season. I'd love to see him do well and have them push him up to Delmarva for addition PAs that he lost out on, even if he struggles at that level.
    • While I still think he could become a reliable defensive 3B, I'd still like to see what he looks like in RF.  An outfield of Kjerstad/Stowers in LF, Cowser in CF, and Mayo in RF would be about as scary as it gets for pitchers. Imagine this 2025 lineup: 1. Henderson - SS 2. Rutschman -  C 3. Mayo - RF 4. Kjerstad - DH 5. Westburg - 3B 6. Cowser - CF 7. Mountcastle - 1B 8. Stowers - LF 9. Holliday - 2B Who the hell do you pitch around?
    • I really don’t think I was speculating based on the past, but rather on my perceptions of the new generation of ballplayers overwhelmed by advanced stats and how their pay is based on them so heavily, as well as hearing it from the mouths of current players.    Did you watch any of the youtube clip? While I totally understand where you’re coming from and appreciate the check on my viewpoint, I really think the things said in the podcast are definite issues for consideration and hope you’ll watch it to see what you think.
    • Wow, only Judge and Soto have more votes than Rutschman in the AL.
