Kimbrel should have pitched there imo. He threw the ball well last night, has performed well on 0 days rest and you have to try to get him back. You can’t always wait for blowouts to pitch him. It just doesn’t work that way.

As Palmer said, you can’t break out of a slump if you don’t play.

Burch Smith didn't do his job yesterday not Hyde.  He does Smith pitches 8th and Kimbrel was gonna pitch 9th and you would have Cano available for today.

i know that Tate is not here. I'm saying I would have preferred him to be in that spot, which means they should have sent Burch to the minors since he was worn out. I know they were not going to cut bait with Kimbreal.

BTW, we all know Kimbrel can't work on back to back days.
