I know that our poster@George Zuverink also lives in Asheville.  Per his profile, he last visited OH last Friday afternoon.  Hopefully he is okay too.   I’ve spent a good bit of time in Asheville and points west of there.  It’s such a beautiful part of the country and the people are wonderful.   They are all in my prayers.

Hopefully he will check in as well. Just a terrible situation out there in such a beautiful part of the country.

Asheville is such a beautiful area.  I was just there 2 months ago working at the Asheville hospital.  Hospital decided not to renew my contract which upset me at the time, but was obviously a blessing in disguise.  I understand large stretches of I-26 and 40 are gone (the main interstate highways into town).  Sounds like it will be years before life is back to normal there.

I have family in Asheville.  And got some tickets last year from @George Zuverink.  Hope for the best for everyone there, but the pictures are just a snapshot of the devastation.  Have seen signs of the goodness in people though.   Total strangers cleared my brother in laws driveway which was covered with multiple trees.  No questions, no bill, just stopped and cleared the driveway.  Then moved on to the next place they could lend a hand.
