You also have to look at the difference of using metal bats in college vs the less-powerful wood bats in the pros.

My understanding is that the college metal bats are no more powerful than the wood bats used in the pros. Or at least that was the goal with the new restrictions on college bats that went into effect in 2011.

I'll say this, Guasman's early struggles show how amazing it is for Bundy at 19 to have a 2-whatever ERA in Frederick.
