2014 N.L.D.S. (Cardinals vs. Dodgers)

OFFNY

The Dodger post game chatter is bitter. Do these playoffs herald the end of the TOR starter and the rise of the bullpen? The trouble seems to be that you can't consistently be the smartest guy in the room constructing a bullpen.

If they want to send us Kershaw, I'd be more than willing to take him off their hands.

Thanks for the pinch-hit, Scott.

I'll do the other game (Giants vs. Nationals.)

POSTED LAST NIGHT, AT ST. LOUIS LEGENDS:

(Colts Orioles Bullets 1971 = OFFNY)

Is Clayhead Burpshaw going to pitch Game Four if the Dodgers lose tonight ???

O

Yes. Mattingly said that was always the plan unless he had gone 120+ pitches in game 1.

Good.

Burpshaw's E.R.A. in the postseason is 5.20.

The Cardinals should be fine.

Dagger to the heart of the Dodgers? Mattingly went all in with Kershaw.

Out of desperation--I just looked at Kershaw's career splits and he's *never* started on three days' rest. Allownig just one hit and no runs through six innings was excellent, especially considering that. Mattingly and Ausmus have been traumatized.
