Ill admit I am a little biased. Its all subjective

Best Answer: Warren Spahn

13 20-win seasons

363 wins.......most by any southpaw in MLB history

Cy Young Award: 1st once, 2nd thrice, 3rd once

Led the league (plus for other, lesser stats):

Wins 8 times

ERA 3 times

WHIP 4 times

Strikeouts 4 times

Innings Pitched 4 times

Complete Games 9 times

Shutouts 4 times

He had 382 COMPLETE GAMES and 63 shutouts

He appeared in 3 World Series and 14 All-Star Games

He did this playing ALL of his games in the post-1920 live-ball era, whereas Walter Johnson played only his last seven seasons then.

Even Cy Young, for whom the award is named, played NO games after 1920, having retired after the 1911 season, his 23rd season. He played for such teams as the Spiders, Perfectos, Cardinals, Americans, Red Sox, Naps, and Rustlers.

Also, Spahn took 3 years off to fight for his country in World War II, and if given those three years back, he most likely would have won more than 400 games.

Granted, this is a highly subjective topic, and pretty much everyone's nominee is well-qualified, but my choice is Warren Spahn.
