Conspicuous lack of a mention of Norris last night by Buck in the postgame presser. Seemed to be the last tea leaf that his time was up.

Look in the dictionary under "bulldog" and you'll see a picture of Bud Norris. Healthy or not he gave it 110%, and while the results weren't there this season the effort and passion for the game certainly was.

Dan Duquette is certainly not afraid to cut bait when he sees a player is not working out, even when there's big "dead" money involved. But is probably due around $3mil for the rest of the season. But DD didn't let that stop him from cutting Bud to bring on a better option. This did not happen under other regimes.

I was against bringing Bud back at 8m, but it was defensible. But we should have cut him loose a while ago when it was obvious it wasn't going to work out.
