We have a long history of jumping on pitchers early..then going away and hiding offensively.

No we don't. The Orioles score most of their runs after the fourth inning. That is simply a delusion. Also, in baseball the first inning is the inning that most runs are scored in across the board.

I like the fact that unlike Lough he works counts that being said sometimes he needs to be more agressive.

But does working the count still matter?

Overall of course not against a Tigers team with a shot bullpen.

Does running up a starters' pitch count actually help?

So who pitches the 6th and 7th?

I feel like we are playing well and want to max out our wins before things go the other way with luck. We aren't this good.

Probably because the first inning had the highest probability of a teams best hitters coming to bat of any individual inning.
