Trade deadline possibilities

I was being sarcastic. What I posted had actually been proposed.

How about Trumbo, Wieters, Manny and Schoop for Bartola Colongne and a player to be named later. That would fill our starting pitching needs and we could release Ubaldo. We could move Alverez to third and Flaherty to second and call up Mancini to DH! This would also solve our worried about signing Manny and Schoop to long term deals! If the Mets want more for Bartolo we can consider throwing in Brach or Britton to sweeten the deal!

Yeah, he's a professional hitter, doesn't belong at Bowie. Not sure why Corn doesn't see him as a legit prospect?

He isn't a ML catcher yet, and his bat doesn't play as well at other positions because of the lack of power.

LF is likely where he fits in the MLB long term unless something drastically changes.

He's also very, very young. Power is the last thing to develop. Fully believe he can be a 8-10+ HR type, and in LF if he consistently hits and get on base would be fine. Not like Kim is bringing a ton of power.

Exactly. Power is covered on this team. He's an athletic dude. Not your typical slow plodding catcher. Would really like to see him win another milb batting title. It would be his 2nd in 3 years of full season ball.

And he's got 21 XBH's in 262 at bats this season. That's not bad for a 21 year old in AA. He'd likely have a bunch more if he was in a lower level. Heck, people were doubting Mancini's power until last season. He had 23 XBH's (including 3 homers) in 256 at bats at 21 years old... in the NYP League.

LF really? He's that athletic of a catcher? You don't see that switch often, from catcher to OF.
