Why did Kim hit for Davis earlier in the game? Injury?

He didn't hit for him.   Davis made the last out of an inning (3-2 count, good at bat, he took a low pitch and hit it about 350 feet for a fly out).

After the inning Mancini moved to first and Kim came into left.

They are saying oblique, seriousness unknown.

I find it very hard to imagine that the Orioles' almost-87-year-old owner, who overpaid for Davis, Trumbo and O'Day so that the team would have a powerful offense and strong bullpen, enabling it to compete this year and next, would be open to going into sell mode. It may be the right thing to do -- that depends on what you can bring back -- but does anyone believe there's a real chance of it happening?

Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree with this sentiment.  Maybe John Angelos can convince his dad a rebuild would be the right move.  If the O's don't turn it around before the all star break, I would start moving pieces.

From swinging?

Nobody knows.   Didn't see any reaction when he swung.

But the last thing he did in the game was swing the ball and fly out to deep right, so that would be an assumpiton.
