His pickups for the bullpen are/were all minor league depth for most clubs. 

And punted draft picks away too.  And for not fixing the minor league scouting or development (one or both of them, Tony feels it's the scouting).

Owner isn't signing a good starter. 

Pen was pretty deep to invest much there.

I just would like to judge them in a more normal set of circumstances. We know they aren't great.

Don't need to invest much when it comes to second tier bullpen arms.

And they didn't need an elite or even great starter. But somebody other than Tyler Wilson, Logan Verrett, Mike Wright, Jayson Aquino, etc.

OK, Rickard got hit by pitch, but why isn't Buck playing match ups when the offense needs runs.
