I'd make him as uncomfortable as possible so he's more open to a buyout. Some ideas...

1) GIve him the the bunt sign every other pitch.

2) "Accidentally" stich DAVI$ on his home jersey.

3) Make him dress / perform as the Oriole Bird on his off days.

4) Have someone in the stands post Ks every time he strikes out.

5) Ban modern day country music from the clubhouse.

6) Literally make him wear a golden sombrero, during post game interviews, every time he strikes out four times in a game.

You’re on a roll. Or a biscuit or something.

Maybe they need to start the Kangaroo Court like in Frank Robinson’s day. Some levity and some responsibility all at the same time, but keeping things loose.

"It's unfair to pin the Baltimore Orioles' demise entirely on Chris Davis. He hasn't pitched since 2012, after all, so he has nothing to do with the 5.02 ERA at the heart of their 15-32 record.

But when a team signs a guy to a seven-year, $161 million contract, it generally hopes said guy isn't one of Major League Baseball's worst players by the third year of that deal..."
