Good pitching!

  • ?John Means: STUD. 6 IP, 1 ER. 2.67 ERA.

  • ?The bullpen: Came together to pitch a pretty great game that went into extra innings. The highlight was Bleier's 2 scoreless innings. Castro has a scoreless inning with 2 strikeouts. Armstrong looked good for an inning. Fry had a good inning but eventually coughed up the walk-off. A pretty sterling effort from a much-maligned bullpen. Bravo.

  • Richie Martin: Game-tying home run in the 9th off the closer! Attaboy, Richie. That's his 2nd. Hey - he also walked twice! Nice game.

  • Hanser Alberto: You already know, babe. TWO MORE SINGLES.

  • Injuries: It looks like Severino, Villar, and Stewart should be fine after leaving the game for various injuries.

The Dallas Morning News Reported this AM that the 12-1 victory was only the third time in MLB history that a winning team had at least four errors and gave up more than ten runs.

In a droll cameo performance, the excellent Sir Christopher Davis whiffed airily in both of his scenes, bringing us all, thespians and audience alike, two steps closer to his highly-anticipated retirement from the valiant summerstock company's active roll of players. ?

LOL!   Time to bring the curtain down on this one!   Maybe hook him around the neck with a long cane while he’s at bat and pull him offstage like in Bugs Bunny!

Silver Lining Redux: Paul Fry. Called on for a second night in a row and put into a 2 inning (atleast) situation, he did well despite being gassed and being squeezed on the strike zone. Tough luck loss.

The real silver lining is that this was actually a well played, MLB game, and they simply fell short. I can live with that, and hopefully the tables are turned next time.

100%. Nice pitching all around. Got pitched to also, but it happens.

I only watched the 8th inning and top of the 9th, but it seemed to me that the ump had a very wide strike zone.

An RBI-double today probably earned him another scene. It's gotten that inane!
