As I speculated, Shepherd's tenure on the 40-man roster was short lived.

I figured it would be him.  Lopez was once a Top 100 guy.  I think I'd prefer to see both of them designated though.

We'll see. The 28th roster spot was barely used by Hess this year, and not in any high leverage situations.

Hopefully the Orioles are able to work with Lopez and turn him back into the guy who was three outs away from a perfect game in September 2018, without putting him in to any high leverage spots.

I like to see López fail with the O’s before I give up on him. Ideally I’d like to see him succeed in a big way!

He was not horrible tonight, I would call that a success. Unfortunately too many people around him were terrible.

It’s a shame they have to have him on the roster while he’s a complete mess. He obviously needs his mechanics tweaked. I’m sure a confidence boost can’t hurt either but I don’t think it’s the 1st step. Maybe a trip to the IL would be the best course of action.
