With Mountcastle, Mancini and Davis on the roster, Nunez was an expensive and unnecessary player.

They learned the lesson Trumbo taught. Home runs don’t compensate for horrible defense. And they had too many DH guys, so he was odd man out. Now Mancini is 1B(?) and MC is LF and Stewart is RF?

By mid-season, Santander, Hays, and Diaz in the OF, Mountcastle at 1B, and Mancini DH (or vice versa).

He was a fun player on bad teams.  I hope he catches on somewhere else and goes on to produce.

Yes, the position is plentiful but that doesn’t mean you dump production for nothing.

That’s my hope as well. That will be a good OF. Mullins as 4OF is good too, but it leaves Stewart as odd man out. I’m assuming Mancini/Mountcastle will rotate between 1B/DH, and then we need a good 3B, assuming Sanchez is at 2B, and then we might have a worthwhile team...
