Don't forget he also had an error that led to some unearned runs on Watkins.  Yeah, hasn't exactly been a great start to the year for one of our key FA additions (lol).

I'd much rather see Martin hit at AAA.  He should earn his promotion in order to be called up.

That was a really poor throw behind Owings from Watkins. Owings got the error because he did good to just get a glove on it, IMO. Watkins main undoing in that game was two awful throws to bases.

It wasn’t a great throw but you expect your SS to be able to catch a ball thrown only slightly behind him.

Martin is, hopefully, going to get to play essentially every day in Norfolk. He has some things to work on, and finally getting a chance to do so.  He may end up in Baltimore if an injury happens in MIF. Or, he may get up later if/when Owings is released. But I think he needs to play regularly for a few months.

IDK. It was a very poor throw. Maybe Owings could have caught it since he did get his glove on it. Owings was moving quickly to his left to beat the runner on a steal attempt. Owings had to stop on a dime and reach back to his far right. Owings stopped it from going into CF and allowing the runner to go to 3B.
