My family rock trio was making our Athens GA debut at Flicker Theatre. As were packing up, I had a nice talk about the postseason with REM (and Baseball Project) bassist Mike Mills. He’s disappointed by The Braves, but has also hoping Cleveland does well. We’re in Atlanta tonight at Smith’s Old Bar.

Nice - good progress towards Dombrowski salvaging his long record of success building a winner when he means to.    Stock down on Bryce, Wheeler and Nola in next July's trade market.    Its cool having watched both Manny and Bryce mature from 20 to 30.

Trey finally broke ice reaching on a HBP his second time up, though it was a weird play where he himself did not feel he'd been hit.     Seattle challenged the ump ruling, maybe based in part by Trey's non-reaction, but the call stood...might have been a jersey brush kind of deal.

George Kirby pitching into the 7th inning of an October game his rookie year.    Poking around birthdays, in February 1998 George Kirby, Nick Lodolo and Adley Rutschman were born on consecutive days.

Dusty might have been going for a sac bunt with man on 1st, no one out in 9th inning of a 0-0 game, but whatever the strategy, he just pinch hit Aledmys Diaz for Trey Mancini.     We'll never know the call as Pitch 1 hit Diaz flush in the shoulder.

I love a good pitching duel but some of these playoff games are hard to watch with little to no offense at all are hard to watch.  15 innings no runs last weekend and 12 so far tonight.

In extra innings, it might be a good idea to start each inning with a man on second like they do in the regular season.

Julio just with a rundown in the gap that might not have been a web gem as a regular sliding catch, but with the 90 feet in 3 seconds type stuff I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of those "routine" 4-star plays that slow CF simply don't get near.

There are way too many playoff games in baseball.. every team and every fan is exhausted by the time anybody finally gets to the World Series

I'm getting exhausted watching this and I don't have a rooting interest besides watching the Yankees get eliminated in embarrassing fashion.

You get cold for a couple games and Yankees fans don't waste anytime turning on a player.
