Here we go.  MLB got their dream scenario.  Trout v Ohtani 1 run game in 9th inning.  Almost like it was scripted.

Offense just couldn't get it done tonight.  Props to Japan, they played their asses off and deserved to win.

what an incredible ending to an unbelievable tournament.  Stoked for 2026.  Players are going to be knocking down the door to get on these teams.  Congrats to MLB for finally doing something right.

That was cool top of the ninth with two outs and it's Ohtani versus Trout as Team USA's last chance. Ohtani's fastball is just filthy and he strikes out Trout to end the game.

You just know Ohtani is going to tease Trout throughout the season about striking him out to win the WBC for Team Japan.

And to think I have to watch non-competitive ST games with low energy for the next week+.  Sigh.  Opening day can’t get here soon enough - Dem Os gonna shock the world!!

The 2026 team could feature multiple Os players too.
