I noted to my wife last night that all four homers were by players aged 22-26 (22, 24, 25 and 26, to be exact).

Holliday up and ripping, Cowser batting leadoff and looking awesome.  Gunnar getting hot again. Adley showing some signs of coming around.  

Now if only Mayo could get his act together, we’d really have something.

This team is so deep and talented. And so many of these guys since the OP have been awesome. We’re pretty lucky that way right now. This farm is not only producing toolsy minor leaguers, but producing quality major leaguers. So much fun. Golden era of O’s baseball.

I really hope Mayo produces this season, but the Voltron won’t form in all its glory until Westburg is back.  That’s going to be a thing of beauty.  Just imagine rolling into the playoffs with Gunnar, Adley, Cowser, Holliday, Westburg, Tony Taters, Mounty, and either O’hearn or Eloy all clicking .

I think that’s going to be great if all that happens. However, our success will still come down to pitching. In particular Grayson and the back end of the bullpen. With Burnes and Eflin you kind of know what you are getting with those guys. The rest of the staff…. wildcards.
