I think it's interesting that Hyde kept Gibson in for 7 whole innings (94 pitches) despite (a) the lopsided score and (b) Gibson's long waits as the Orioles pummeled the Twins' pitching.

Could have given some of the middle relievers with shakier status innings, but chose not to. I wonder why, esp. with the ASB coming next.

I think he had a relatively stress-free outing so he left him in there.
