That's now 11 times in a row that the Orioles have scored in an inning, and held the opponent scoreless in the half inning immediately following.   And 22 out of 25 dating back to June 26.

Amazing how good we are at that.

The streak ends at 11.

I heard the Twins had good pitching, what happened?

Baseball.

The Tigers threw a no hitter the other day and a guy with a guy with a 4.52 ERA threw a perfect game last week.

What a beat down. Our team momentum turned on a dime during the 5th inning of game 3 in NY.  When you start to see multiple games of absolute mashing, it makes you think something special is happening.

And…it’s not a coincidence that it happened when we westy and Cowser got called up.

And according to Palmer, Gibson got some throwing in while the Orioles were batting.

Interesting, I'd never heard of that before.

Did he go out tot he bullpen or is there somewhere inside behind the dugout where he can throw?

He could have gotten a simulated five innnings in .

Where did you see that ? Good time for it.

Just looked at linescores and figured it out.   Lots of people always complain when we give up run(s) right after scoring but I don't think we are especially bad at it, people just remember the times when it happens.

And Santander goes deep!

    • Wilson isn’t attacking the middle of the field as much, which is where the pass defense has been an issue. I do worry about the deep ball. Pickens has done well vs us. The Steelers will be without Highsmith..Ravens could be without Hamilton. Urban back at practice yesterday.
    • Okay …but that wasn’t his question. And they have professional veteran players that didn’t fold like a bunch of school girls offensively.
    • I think Bradfield gets the edge over Honeycutt here because he has performed in the minors and Honeycutt has yet to.  I think Honeycutt likely has a higher ceiling though.
    • So you think Basallo dropped out of the top 10?
    • I hear you …. If Elias doesn’t want to sign Burnes I’d imagine he’d say that in his response. My thought is that Mr R would then ask who he is going to get that is better. There is a very short list if any….And how are you going to accomplish it?    My point is the team limped into the playoffs. Now we are without our ACE and one of our best offensive weapons. If the season opened tomorrow I’m guessing we do worse than last year and likely get leaped by the Red Sox who are going to spend.    I think Elias is pretty transparent about his feelings. He indicated a desire to have Anthony Santander and Burnes back. Now he has an owner who isn’t interested in pocketing ten of millions of dollars. And said he’s interested in accelerating things to get a World Series. A downgrade from Burnes and Santander wouldn’t be in line with his statements. It’s okay for us who have endured more than 20 years of Cheap Peter and John as the owner to feel so.    Im optimistic that things are changing pretty drastically for the good. And the best part is Dave doesn’t need to go into his own pocket to lift the payroll to $180 million. He just has to make the money available to his GM.    I think it’s naive for any fan to think the owner doesn’t have a say in sone of the personnel decisions. Also, I really believe that GMs for most teams get approval for the bigger contracts before engaging with the player. Face it ….We have a pretty good idea how much it will to take to sign Burnes, Santander, or any other free agent.    The Charade Elias had to play when John was is charge….”We are doing our due diligence “ and “Checked in with _______________’s agent” . Was just bull…as he was smart enough to know he had no shot. There is no sense to say they are interested now if they really aren’t. Is there a limit? I imagine but it’s not at a 25% to 30% discount on what you know that it’s going to take. I mean sure …. I’d love to have a BMW M8 with a $154,000 sticker price. And I’d love to buy one for $105,000 but it’s just not happening. Actually, I wouldn’t pay that either but you get my point.
    • No..the point was that the Dodgers just won a title without an ace pitching in the playoffs…and that’s correct. Just as Texas won the title the year before that without an ace. The entire point to all of is that an ace is not a prerequisite to winning a title and yet some of you on here are acting as if it is. There is no one way to build a title winning team.
