Hadn't heard this one before.   So I had to check it out.

We've scored in the first inning 35 times this year (which, by the way, isn't too good.  That HAS been a season long issue).

In those 35 times, counting today, the opponent has scored in the next half inning 10 times.

Is 10 out of 35 really that bad????    I don't think so.   How many innings in a game does a team typically score?   Somewhere between 3 and 4 on average?   So it seems to me that we are pretty average in that regard, maybe even a little better than average.

But we certainly don't have a problem in this area, like your "MUST" seems to imply.  10 times out of 35 isn't bad.
