Think we do anything in the next week (other than Rule 5)?

Just a guess, but I think the O’s will make some kind of notable move in the next week.  Not necessarily anything that is huge, but acquiring someone who we’d expect to be on the 26-man roster next Opening Day.  For example, last year the Gibson signing was on Dec. 5.   

Elias stated that he thinks the pitching market will move quickly this year.   That leads me to think he’ll be active next week.

Best guess is the Orioles want to nail down at least a key acquisition early on. The payroll has flexibility the next several years and I expect the potential to trade one veteran and sign a key contributor to keep the payroll reasonable, while adding to pitching.

I think we’ll get more of the same; players moving off the market and then finding a day or two later that the Orioles “had interest.”

I was expecting a poll. Will we sign a reliever or starter first? Trade a veteran? Trade for a starter first? Lease poll in 18 days?

Have a little faith people.  I think we got liftoff just not like we expected. And I think it would be a mistake to think we do nothing.
