Orioles see huge uptick in season ticket holders,

Orioles Park at Camden Yards will be filled with new season ticket holders and corporate sponsors this season as everyone looks to get a piece of one of baseball’s hottest teams.

TJ Brightman, the Orioles' chief revenue officer, said the team has seen a 70% increase in Birdland Memberships, which cover a variety of multi-game ticket packages, compared to last season. The team has also signed 20 new corporate sponsors, including Japanese candy company Hi-Chew and local favorite Ledo Pizza. The Orioles are also looking for a jersey patch sponsor, and Brightman said the team is in talks with several local and national companies. The uptick in interest from fans and companies also comes as Baltimore native David Rubenstein is set to buy the team.

A winning team boosts ticket sales. Imagine that.

It certainly does but I will say the change in ownership is as much of a motivating factor for the extreme interest in season tickets.  Trading for Burnes  also hasn’t hurt.

ST attendance shows it too. Noticeable difference between last years crowd and 2024. I walked up to the ticket office at Ed Smith 2 hours before game time before the Braves game Wed and all that was left was SRO.

Braves game, midweek mind you, was almost a sellout vs the games I attended in 23 which crowds were much more sparse.

The game before it, Tuesday afternoon, I was there and it was full. Quite a few people in the SRO section too.

I’ll really miss the buy tickets for one game and get any other game 50% off. Couldn’t believe it. I’d sit in the CF bleachers on the weekends then use the 50% off for seats behind the dugout for a big game. Like Ohtani pitching.

Parking is tough down there too when the stadium is full. Luckily at 40 I can still make the hike from the Casino. That’s not even to save money per se, more so the time it takes with traffic.

There is a sizeable percentage of the fanbase that vowed to never come back while Angelos was in charge.  I have no idea if it is 2% or 20% of prospective ticket buyers but I'm sure they're part of the increase.

Free parking when you gamble a certain minimum at the casino.

I bought a partial plan on the postseason ticket promo - the one where you paid a fixed amount and got early access to buy tickets to games of your choosing. Used a lot of the money on super nice tickets for the July Yankees series for my elderly father's birthday. It was my first time making a material commitment to tickets in years! I do not live locally, so I will just sell the ones we cannot make it into town to attend to O's fans on here or facebook.
