The Marlins got more for 1/3 a season for Tanner freaking Scott than the Padres got for trading Juan Soto to the Yankees.

No chance I would have wanted us to compete for that for Scott.  He is a pure rental and they gave up two top 100 guys including #44.  

Kudos to the Marlins for generating a bidding war.  Would have been something like Kjerstad/Norby plus for us.
