Haven’t they just signed a bunch of IF with prior experience, hopefully that  can at least field

I sure wish he’d gotten that one last inning on Monday.

He also started the game with 15 minutes notice and I am sure was on a lesser pitch count.  This turn he was prepped as a starter.

To be fair, Heaney had only llowed 2 runs through 4.2 innings.   They took him out with 2 on to bring in a righty to face Giancarlo Stanton, and Stanton homered.

So 4 of the runs were charged to Heaney but if they could have gotten that last out in the 5th it would just be 2.

Big Maple was chopped down inthe first inning with a hamstring... pulled up lame in his first couple steps from the mound in an attempt to cover first on a grounder to 1st base.   

So it's been the boston bullpen from almost the very beginning.
