What's up with JOBat taunting us?

Give just about anybody enough room to feel they can do what they want, and you will usually see their core personalities emerge. It's rare when an athlete can maintain that facade like Jordan or Ripken. You really can learn a lot about any person when the chips are down and when everything is coming up Milhouse.

So what's with Bautista taunting? He's an ass. An over-entitled jerk off.

When Bautista was an Oriole, his team mates were Jason Grimsley, Daniel Cabrera, Buddy Groom, Javy Lopez, Raffy Palmerio, Miggi Tejada, Larry Bigbie, Jay Gibbons, Jerry Hairston, Brian Roberts, Jack Cust, and David Sequi.

What do they all have in common.

You mean...besides being former Orioles? (or in the case of Roberts, an Oriole?) All people who've never been in my kitchen?

Steroids? I mean, I know that's what you mean and Bautista is certainly a player who came out of nowhere to becomes a power hitting star. You named a lot of names. What do you know about Jerry Hairston? Why is he on the list?

I only bolded the names of guys that I know were either caught or admitted doing PED's.

Everyone on the list, was caught, admitted. or was listed in the Mitchell report.

Hairston was caught twice. Cabrera was not on any list, but I have often heard it said that it was known that he was a straight steroid abuser.

Todd Williams had it too (but he's the only one who forgot how to throw an intentional walk).

He hit a combined 11 hr's in the first 4 years he played.

Then 21, then 13, then 12, then 16, then 50

During the height of the steroids era he had a 34 hr jump.

He never hit over 20 again the rest of his career. He wasn't a scrub, but if you can't even admit that year was suspicious than you lose all credibility.

LOL did somebody in this thread really try to say Brady didn't do steroids? come on people you look like you are in denial saying anything otherwise.

So, the argument is Brady magically hits 50 with the help if steroids in 96 but going into his last year with the team before he

hits FA he decides, because he's had a moral renaissance, that he doesn't want to be remembered as a cheat. He does it clean in 97 and only hits 18 forfeiting millions in the process.

You think he wasn't smart enough to realize he could have become as prolific as Bonds if he would have continued down the same path?

Here's a good read if you are really interested.

Brady loves to use the "Why didn't I keep using?" defense.

Steroid use does have side effects, it is conceivable that those side effects outweighed, in his mind, the benefits of continued use.

Of course I neither know, nor care, if Brady used steroids.

I have no knowledge about what he did. Other than the Creatine supplements that he used to swear by. The guys I talked about (other than Daniel) were all caught.
