Orioles in 1st place

Can the O's hold off a resurgent AL East? Everyone else got hot at precisely the wrong time for the O's - during the west coast trip. Of course.

We may be battling back from 2nd place again before long. Many many games left.

Not being able to hold off Oakland and Anaheim comebacks in two games really tightened up the race. We cd have been up by 5 now. Let's see if we can wreak vengeance on some elite pitchers in the coming games, something we're surprisingly good at doing--and lock down the W's.

o

100 games down.

62 games to go.

ORIOLES .....o0O 55-45 OOOOO --

BLUE JAYS)..O 53-49 OOOOO 3.0

YANKEES .....)Oo 52-48 OOOOO 3.0

D-RAYS........).0O 49-53 OOOOO 7.0

RED SOX OOOOO 47-54 OOOOO 8.5

This is a huge weekend for a everyone with the Yanks and Jays playing each other and the Sox and Rays. The Sox Rays series could knock one of them out for good. While the Jays and Yanks could seperate themselves from each other. I am hoping the Sox take two of three and then whichever team is behind after today of Jays and Yanks take two of three.

Gee, we still get no respect. We now have the third best record in baseball, we're playing at home where we have won eight of our last ten games, we're going against a pitcher (Garrett Richards) who allowed a career high seven runs the only time he's ever faced us, and we're still the underdogs for a second straight night.
