Is DD Tanking the O's Offseason?

I'm sure this will offend some people so let me say right off the bat that I think he probably isn't. But I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility either.

Didn't vote on the poll because I'm not sure. Normally at this point in the offseason, I would trust DD and the O's since I know they normally make under the radar moves toward the end of the offseason that pan out. However, because of what's been going on with that horrible team up in Toronto, I would feel naive personally to put the same level of trust in the FO that I used to.

I don't think so. Deliberately tanking the off season doesn't seem like a great idea when the move to Toronto isn't exactly a foregone conclusion. He very well might have to work for the Orioles for three more years.

Now that the O's have reached the stage of discussing compensation, I would be surprised if DD is still acting as the GM

I would hope the transition to new leadership is already underway.

So, know I don't think he was tanking the O's, but I also don't think he in a position to have any more of an affect.

I can't imagine it helps--especially thinking you may end up working for a divisional rival!
