But, but... I read that our offense is terrible. Constantly struggling. Can't hit junk pitchers. Oh, I understand... you mean number three WORST AL offense. :rolleyestf:

No. Surprisingly, we are almost the best. Only Detroit and Toronto are significantly better. Factually.

Yeh, I don't know why you would mess with Brach, O'Day, Britton if they are all rested and feeling fine.

Yep, they didn't pitch yesterday in the blow out. It was just Gonzo, Garcia, and T.J.

I'm still not sold on a 3-4 year extension.

Our options for LF/RF next year:

1) Guys from the minor league system

2) Trade

3) Free agents (of which Parra and Pearce are two possibilities)

Given the current state of out minor league talent, we don't have a lot of assets to trade. And if we try to fill both starting positions with guys we currently have under control for next year, say Urrutia and Alvarez, or magically transforming Paredes into a legitimate defensive outfielder...I think we would likely be pretty bad.

So I think at least one, maybe both, of the spots will be filled via option #3.

Look at the market, estimate what people will command and how much we will likely to be able to spend, and tell me who the better options than Parra are.
