I am not looking for a TOR...a league average, innings guy as a Chen replacement would be just fine. If he was still in mid 90s, he would not be on our staff as his price tag would have been way too much.

Halladay threw three fastballs that each did something different. He threw a sinker, a FB and a cutter. If you have that much movement and control, you can do whatever you want.

Your points are valid and your concerns are valid. But for right now for whatever reason the stuff he still went up there seems to be working

Speaking of low velocity/old guys, is Bartolo Colon still out there throwing for somebody? I think it might be worth it for the O's to sign him if only to prevent the inevitable shutout he seems to pitch against us every year or so.
