What's with the Yusniel regression?

I'm perhaps overly armchair psychoanalyzing, but beyond injury, I can imagine him being bored and knowing the score.  I'd rather he be fully healthy and crushing of course, but he and Mountcastle are the two high minors guys young enough and good enough that securing an extra year of club control could mean something.

I'd hoped for a AAA MVP candidacy, but still predict he is beastly next year in spring training.  I had senioritis pretty bad too back in the day.

So Rutschman isn't a big time prospect yet?  OK, I don't agree with your definition but OK.

That was so predictable.  You're comparing apples to orangatangs.  The guy was just the 1st pick in the draft - I mean... get real.

Hays required postseason surgery, and actually had a couple of different injuries.   Was Diaz already hurt before the day he went on the IL?    Is he still hampered by the injury?    I have no idea.

No cluet yet. As @cboemmeljr has mentioned, the Orioles are extremely tight lipped on injuries in the minors this season compared to last.

They spent 31 million to sign Diaz.  That to me means about as much as going 1-1 in the draft.

Regardless of what they spent, the Dodgers signed him in 2015 - it's ancient history and doesn't mean he's a top prospect in 2019.  He's a good solid prospect - nothing more nothing less, imo.  There's zero comparison NOW of him to Rutschman.

You know you said never right?

No one is suggesting he's currently one.

You know I already explained that, right???  I you're not suggesting he's currently one, then we're saying the same thing, so... it's usually a good idea to stop arguing with someone if you agree with them.

Yeah, I didn't understand why they didn't have him at AAA to start the season. Diaz had 122 games and 440 ABs under his belt at AA and was coming off a .285/.392/.449 season. He did have a rough 38 game stretch with the Baysox but it wasn't bad enough to warrant him repeating the level.

His Bowie results haven't exactly supported your implication that he should be in AAA. I'm not sure how we'd expect him to do there when he hasn't done well in AA.

This guy's prospect status is as precarious as anyone's. From my perspective, I need to see him hit and hit really well to justify remaining in our top 10. He's had plenty of excuses. Eventually he's either a stud hitter or he isn't (at this point).
