I don't think Villar will get non-tendered, but I can't see Elias carrying Villar on the opening day roster at that salary.

Unless its to keep the losses above 100 I can't see bringing Givens back

We could win 60 games if we don't  have Givens and Davis on the roster... so maybe keep them both and get a third straight top 5 pick

Wow, So like how much was Givens worth when his HR/9 was 0.5 instead of 1.9 like it is now?

Was this just posted?  I was looking for this last night when discussing Mancini.

That does seem high. I was thinking around 4 or less based on 2018 guys.  If he’s expected to get that much in arbitration, it’s going to be hard to extend him to a team-friendly deal, IMO.

I can't see them paying Villar that kind of dough.  Looks to me like Richie Martin is the favorite to open the season at SS.  I like Villar, and appreciate his energy and talent, but I can't see them paying that much on a team that's not expected to win.

If Villar is nontendered, any chance he gets a deal with a $10M AAV?  I have a hard time believing that.
