Yeah and he got the first pitcher to hit a routine little number (which State botched).  And then hit a guy.  And yeah one hard hit fly ball.  That's not like he couldn't find the plate or was getting rocked.

Bring the robot umps. I'll take consistency over watching a cheap call edthird strike in the ninth inning when your team needs a run to tie the game.

A pretty unlucky loss.  That said, better draft position and Jays have virtually no shot of making it to the Postseason.  So while I do root to win games, there is an obvious silver lining consolation.

What’s worse is that he called a Stewart pitch a strike that was wide on the other side of the plate. The O’s had virtually no chance in the 9th with a strike zone that was 6” wider than normal. I wasn’t too pleased that Hyde seemed pretty quiet about it.

I would argue the strike zone was 6” wider on each side of the plate. Total freaking joke.
