For the last few days I’ve been very sad about the end of baseball season. Not just because the team is terrible and there’s no October, and not just because it doesn’t seem like Mike has done anything meaningful to improve the team. Perhaps the organization, yes. Minor league depth, yes, wise trades…maybe. Improving the on-field product for the present and immediate future? Ummmm I’m not so sure.

But not even that.

Its because baseball will end and we will Move into the vast snowy wasteland that is “THE OFF-SEASON”

I love baseball. All the teams in which I have an interest are failures yet again, but I still regret the end of the annual chapter.

I thought Cedric hit #30 there.

He did they just didn’t call it. They should have walked out there and looked at the pole.

It definitely looked like the ball deflected off the poll on replay.  I am still surprised how often NY seems to get the replay call incorrect.
