Adley Rutschman 2022

I really hope we see reporters vote ROY for players like Adley who are having their service time manipulated by cheap ass teams like the Orioles. I hope some reporters flat out say this is why I’m voting Adley ROY so this BS can stop.

This is the 47 page of the Adley watch and this had to be mentioned before but the reason Adley is not up may be the Rookie of the Year status.

The new CBA says that the top two rookies get a full year of service time.   One thing I think we can all agree on is Elias wants that 7th year of Adley's service time.  

The poor start by many of the other Rookie of the Year candidates could be making Elias wait to call up Adley.  Here are the current status of the 2022 rookies.  In fact in could also affect Grayson's call up.

Those stats are really  not that impressive and could allow Adley to take one of the two top spots if he is called up now.  

Two pitchers the Twins Joe Ryan and the Padres Mackenzie Gore may be near the top.

I am not clear if the full year of service is for the top two rookies in MLB or in each league.  Maybe some one here knows.

I think you are totally right. This makes way more sense than any of the other explanations. Saving the Super 2 dollars is probably icing on the cake.

Jeremy Pena's start looks pretty good to me. I think Adley would have to play out of his mind to end up with more WAR than him.

He's just too too young. Should at least wait until he turns 25, not everyone can be in their 5th season at 25 like Manny was

I think you are missing the point.   Its the top two rookies and Elias wants to make sure Adley is not one of them.   So Elias may be waiting until he thinks its not possible that Adley could win one of those top two rookie spots.

You know, if he were to promote Grayson and Hall at the same time it would greatly lower Adley's chances at ROY.
