Yes. He rehabbed at Bowie yesterday, 8/14. Was wondering if we normally keep rehabbing pitchers at the same level for multiple starts, especially if they have a successful outing, as I feel he did.

I'll check the Bowie and Norfolk transaction tabs tomorrow. Thanks for the reply!

Oh gotcha. I could see him getting a couple of starts at Bowie before going back to Norfolk

The fangraphs post is a bit old (2017) but rookie hitters contribute about 0.17 WAR on avg. I’m excited for the Orioles prospects, but people expecting a slew of them to debut, and help drive the Orioles to the finish line are probably likely to be disappointed. The likelihood of any of them outperforming Urias for instance is quite small (Odor is a different matter)

I hear you but what are the stats for #1 overall prospects?

Remember Rutschman’s first month? Or Bobby Witt? I think Henderson is going to be an impact player, counting on him (or any rookie) to make an immediate impact in September though is prob not smart

Odor’s .644 OPS on the year is a low bar.  Adley’s first month was .730.

If your bar is Odor, they can probably clear it. That’s a low bar 😂

That’s the bar the team currently has.  Not mine. ;) So it’s a good time to do both (gain experience with a good chance of improving the team).  Certainly not without the rookie adjustment risk you pointed out though but the alternative decreases the risk of performing worse.

Seriously, there are so many transactions listed under the BAL TRANSACTIONS tab that I can't even fit them into a screenshot.  I'm going to work on seeing what I can decipher, since a lot of them are duplicates.

I started a new thread that lists them all, from what I can tell.

So Cullen (2B) goes up to Norfolk to make room for Adam Hall, what is corresponding Norfolk move?

I just posted a new thread that lists all the transactions from 8/16, as far as I can tell.  Shed Long was released, that may be what you're asking?

Roch this morning with news on some recent FCL debut pitchers whose seasons will continue with the Shorebirds.

https://www.masnsports.com/blog/this-that-and-the-other-1-15

* Six pitchers were added yesterday to Single-A Delmarva’s roster – three draft picks and three undrafted free agents.

The draft selections are fifth-rounder Trace Bright (Auburn), 10th-rounder Wyatt Cheney (McLennan Community College) and 16th-rounder Graham Firovid (Virginia Tech).

That trio joins Cooper Chandler (Rice), Hayden Nierman (UNLV), and Trey Nordmann (Lipscomb).

The Shorebirds’ roster now holds 15 members of the 2022 draft haul.

If Gunnar is promoted today hopefully that means Ortiz is promoted as well.

Speaking of this…a lot of prospects will see their season end soon but AAA goes deeper into the year.

Is there anyone else, besides Ortiz, that should be brought up to get more at bats/innings in 2022?

Cowser jumps out to me as one guy.

Norby's year had the May interruption when he was HBP, but beginning with May his monthly OPS splits as of today, including the AA promotion, have been:

606-671-800-973

Like Cowser, it would also involve a 3-level season and taking them away from a 4-week divisional race.

Ortiz to AAA seems overdue, and I wonder if Hernaiz has done enough to join the Bowie race.
