Strong movement on the pitch and keeping the ball from going right down the middle of the plate is 2 of the things that prevents home runs. Most hitters are usually looking to nail a fast ball or a hanger. Derek Jeter said in his documentary that the only pitch he ever looked to hit was a fast ball. Fast balls are pretty strait forward and don't move much so they are easier to target with the barrel.

The only solution at this point is bringing in fresh talent. Grayson Rodriguez would be a big help if he can put it together. John Means returning sometime August would be another boost.

Elias has to trade for another starting pitcher and a relief pitcher if the organization wants to be serious about making a playoff push.

This is the second game all year that I’ve turned off to do something else. The pitching is beyond atrocious. And these disgusting City Connect unis are just as bad as the pitching. 

They might as well give these starts to GrayRod if the starters are going to perform this poorly. At least he offers the potential to be better. 

July is going to bring them back to earth.

We shouldn’t be surprised about Kremer. He is going to have his good starts here and there but the statcast numbers and his peripherals  tell you he just isn’t that good.

Palmer keeps talking about how he has 6 pitches..that’s probably 2-3 pitches too many. These guys want to throw all these pitches but it’s a lot to throw and it’s hard to throw that many pitches well.

You can’t give up three home runs to the Yankees and expect to win. The home runs are a major problem.

He's given up at least 1 HR in 12 out of his 17 starts.
